Slings for my Disney trip - Lindsling

I participated in a month log dew along over at Linds Handmade on facebook.  We made a sling - well I made two.  I made a sling for my granddaughter and myself for an upcoming trip to Disneyland.  They were quite simple to put together BUT my domestic machine did have issues on a few spots of the sling.

Well my trip has passed and YES we had a great time and my slings held up nicely.

This month I am participating in the sew along for The Stephie.  Its a bag and I cannot wait to get it done.

Flower day at school

Today is flower day at school.  So my granddaughter and I grabbed some felt ang and glue gun and made this flower shirt for her to wear.  Now I wanted to scattr the flowers all over the shirt but she had different ideas.  She wanted grass and clouds and a sun, so thats what we did.  I even had an extra flower so I hot glued it to a  hair band for her hair.

I can't believe I sewed a purse!

Last night I finally finished my first purse/bag.  It is a pattern from Shambala Bags called The Guadalupe. Free in their facebook group.  It was an easy sew BUT my cheap machine did not like sewing many parts of it.  Esp. at the end when I had to sew the liner and main part together and the last top stitching. I included a zipper pocket and a slip pocket on the inside.

 Love how it came out.

NCW's

I finally got my two wallets done after months of waiting to gather all the supplies I needed.  The ycame out pretty nice but there were many struggles along the way.  Although this is an easy pattern to do - you need to make sure you are using the right

needle

foot

and stitch length

Keyfobs

I have been so busy with c+my classes and some family issues that I forgot to post my newest make.  I made some keyfobs the other day for an upcoming craft fair.  They were a great scrap buster and pretty simple to make. Can't wait to make some more.

DIY Pop-Its for American Girl Dolls (or any other dolls)

I ran across a tutorial for these cute diy doll sized pop-its.  They were very easy to put together using simple items you can get at your local Dollar Tree. I hope the girls love them!

Items needed:

craft foam

half pearl or puffy stickers

glue

paint or paint markers

puffy paint for the lines

mod podge to seal

safety pins or sewing pins to hold the outside rim onto the heart while drying
